There probably is a metaphor here but I'm too dense to find it.

Biblical apologetics applied:
by bohm in"ladies and gentleman of the jury.. my client is accused of a serious crime, the crime of letting his 160 pounds pitpull terrier 'muppy' maul the neighbours two kid to death for calling his good friend bob fat.. ladies and gentlemen we must put aside our emotions and consider all relevant information in the complicated ethical situation my client found himself in that fatefull afternoon when he let loose 'muppy' on those kids and watched her gulp down their bloodied remains.. in particular there are two very important and indisputable facts to which i wish to direct your attention.
the first is the neighbours kids was teenagers, age 15 and 17, and as such should understand the clear and obvious moral relationship between calling someone fat and letting your pitbull terrier eat someone alive.
there is no, despite what some may think, moral equivalency between these two acts.

Trolley / Cart (reverse) witnessing
by FatFreek 2005 ini have yet to see a cart or trolley in our small community but am always ready when we visit the nearby mall in larger little rock, ar.
my billfold is jammed with a half dozen or so handouts printed and scissor cut from this link.
it references the main (11 minute read) at the bottom just in case the table sparks their interest.

It references the main (11 minute read) at the bottom just in case the table sparks their interest. Not surprisingly, that's called The Great Watchtower Contradiction.
I try to wait till they're engaged with a stranger so they can't revert to their shunning act.

More WT Propaganda: 10 Year Old Children Should Get Baptized!
by Oubliette ini just caught this in an upcoming study article which will be "studied" in the congregations the week of 11/18-24/13:.
he and his wife were elated when their eldest daughter, age ten, told them that she loved her parents, loved the brothers and sisters, and loved jehovah very much.
she said that she wanted to dedicate her life to jehovah and get baptized.

KateWild: "There is even a cartoon on JW.org with kids getting baptised." Kate -- please source that one. I tried to find it but couldn't. That's a massive site.
Blondie, that's a great list of things young ones are simply not allowed -- because they're too young.
For what it's worth, there are two examples from various Watchtower yearbooks where children were as young as six years old. Disfellowshipping has been reported here on this forum on a youngster of 12 or 13 years old.

I think I found the problem. I disabled a few chrome extensions plus uninstalled two of my bittorrent programs (installed when trying to download the latest WT library.)
To learn what extensions are working place the following in your URL field and enter.

Moments ago the problem here started again. Open a topic from the main menu, no problem. However, try to navigate back to main menu with left arrow browser button, it doesn't work. Just like it's dead, but it's not. Right click that same button brings up a menu, and one item goes back. Yes, that works but it's a hassle.
Then, click on another main menu topic and that brings up a full page ad to a movie.
And there're others, all problems which seem limited to JWN.
I've cleared my complete cache and cookies twice in the past week thinking that would help. I've completely uninstalled Chrome browser and reinstalled the lastest several days ago. Obviously, that wasn't the real problem.
Any tips?

I wonder if Google street view would work. The high res photos they're taking now are impressive. Several days ago I used Google Earth to have a glimpse of that city of Valparaiso (before the disastrous fires some days ago), Chile, and it was like looking at some of my sharp photos while walking along many of our own USA urban streets.

Can anyone remember a news report from several days ago? If so, please provide a link.
It was about a team of shoplifters that finally got caught. They worked from a shopping list, items needed to supply a warehouse that would later sell them on eBay. The value was in the millions and the report showed some six or seven tractor trailers needed to take the items back into custody.
The report also said that they were able to somehow jam electronically the entrance / exit door security signals before rolling their loaded carts into the parking lot.
As an adide, but perhaps related note: Several weeks ago I witnessed a strange happening while waiting in a Walmart service line. The Service dept. was next to a set of entrance / exit doors. I watched this man walk from the parking lot right up to the doorway and stop before going farther. He looked all around the doorway, then slowly walked through. A few moments later he turned around and again looked around that doorway -- up, left, right.
I wondered at the time whether he was somehow testing the door alarm system. I still don't know.
